In this performance I explore the need for approval, validation and self-worth. I ran barefoot around the circle’s path in temperatures just above freezing, ending once I had completed my 50th lap. The idea for this performance stems from a prank played on me when I was 6 years old, naive and vulnerable, unaware that my athletic feat will not least be awarded with sugar-coated goodies, but veritably side-lined by an engrossing television set.
