The Rock and The Pulley, Site Specific Installation, 2013, (Wood, string, metal, rocks)
(Photographs featuring the artist taken by Matthew Birchall)
The Rock and The Pulley was a temporary installation built during a residency at the Merz Barn in Langdale, Cumbria.
A video of the work can be seen here.
The video depicts the actions and movements of me operating a constructed mechanical pulley system, lodged between two trees, above a pool of water. The video is made up of multiple photographs, assembled together and sped up to create a short animation, documenting the interaction of space and construction, space and myself, myself and construction.
